Specific strategies and skills
are necessary when working in or around water – it can be
unpredictable, uncontrollable, and extremely dangerous. We
are proud to have some of the most advanced equipment
pertaining to water rescue in the industry. A 23-foot jet
boat, Zodiacs, and personal watercraft are all at our
disposal. All of our equipment can be deployed and operated
in just about any environment. Our jet boat provides rescue
support with the speed and dependability of any land based
rescue service, while offering a stable work environment for
rescue or dive inspection operations. Our equipment allows us
to respond to an emergency with speed and maneuverability
that is unmatched in our industry.
Our personnel have been involved in numerous water rescue
activities both in industry and municipal service delivery.
Our teams take pre-planning very seriously and ask the tough
questions. What is the potential for a worker to enter the
water? What is the best extraction method? Which equipment is
necessary on the project? Ground vs. Air medical evacuation?
Fastest access to and from waterways? Location of aircraft
landing zones? These are just a few of the many important
questions we ask. Our teams experience ensures that incidents
are avoided, and the already difficult task of working in or
around water is controlled.
Should an accident occur, Mission Safety's Water Rescue teams
are trained in water-specific search techniques, rope work,
ice rescue, rigging, emergency patient care, confined space
rescue, dive recovery, and most importantly, static and swift
water rescue. Water rescues have many unpredictable variables
compared to standard emergencies. Our teams remain in a
constant state of readiness at all times during an operation.
